Toone's boyfriend, Joe Bunney, took to Instagram to issue a scathing statement in which he claimed that Coronation Street actor Ryan Prescott and his partner are refusing to leave the house they had rented from him. Their tenancy agreement is said to have expired, with Bunney planning to ask them to leave, in order to move his grandfather in.

Bunney wrote on Instagram: "So I didn't want to have to do this as a landlord and it's so not me but it's embarrassing. I'm on holiday to find Coronation Street star Ryan Prescott (I can't tag him because he blocked me for whatever reason) and @amylythgoe have decided to squat in my house when their tenancy agreement has finished and refuse to leave.
"Let me give you some context, I have my 78 year old grandad who is ready to move into the property from today, which has took (sic) some convincing after recently losing his wife. We wanted him to be closer to our family so he wasn't alone and he's finally agreed and moving out of the pub he has owned for 40+ years. This is great news for us as a family.
"Only to find out that these two haven't even looked to pack up and leave and are planning on staying beyond their tenancy which isn't the agreement, and they have had plenty of notice. Leaving us now with nowhere else to move grandad as was set on this move!! Disgusting."
