Paris Saint-Germain talisman Kylian Mbappe has bemoaned the loss of his own "spontaneity" amid his rise to superstardom as a footballer.

Mbappe has claimed that he has struggled with adapting to his own fame in France in recent years, and claims that he would love nothing more than to disappear into the background of public life in the French capital. He has complained that he has lost the ability to do everyday things in Paris, in what could be interpreted as a potential boost for Real Madrid, who have been linked with signing the forward on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

Speaking to , he said: "Going to buy bread at the bakery? I’d pay so much money now to be able to this kind of thing, which is normal for most people."
He added: “I’ve lost spontaneity, the spontaneity of being a human being."
Asked what he would do if he could become invisible for 48 hours, Mbappe replied: "I'd spend my two days outside, that's for sure! I can say that without thinking.
"Go eat quietly in a brasserie, go out, go with friends, party quietly, without anyone to come see me. The next morning, a nice brunch in the sun on a terrace, there you have it. Simple things in life."

Mbappe has, of course, developed into one of the most famous players in world football since his move to PSG, winning the World Cup with France in 2018, and scoring 234 goals in 283 games for the capital club. He is also a six-time Ligue 1 winner, and has won 75 caps for Les Bleus, scoring 46 goals.
